Opening of Meeting
The meeting was opened with an invocation led by Bill Braun and then, President Ken Farabaugh led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-Way Test

Happy Bucks
  • Peter Lagerberg was happy to have spent a week in Ogunquit, Maine. He was ready to give up his present affairs here and just stay there.
  • John Kramb gave a buck to announce that this was the 246th birthday of the U.S. Army
  • Scott Wehler was happy that Adams Electric was kind enough to donate $300 for the printing of our raffle tickets
  • Eric Gladhill was ecstatic about the publication of his book and the friends who ordered their's already on Amazon.

Announcements
President Ken announced that there will be a Board meeting on Wednesday, June 16th via Zoom at 7:30 am (an email has been sent with the link)
 
Peter Lagerberg reminded us that District Training will be held today from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The subject is Color Coding; regarding personality traits.
He also reminded us that the installation of our next District Governor, Greg Staub will be on June 26, 2021.
 
Anna-Mae Kobbe told us that tomorrow (6/15/21) is the last day to get matching points for contributions to the Rotary Foundation. The receipt for donations can be sent to Melissa at the District office.
She also told us about the Wednesday Happy Hour meetings starting back up on Wednesday, June 23rd at Mela Kitchen @ Jack's Hard Cider (1865 Gettysburg Village Drive). The meetings will be the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.
 
Larry Redding said that the response has been good for the end-of-the-year picnic to be held on Monday, June 28th. He is also expecting some response in regards to attendance at our first regular meeting to be held at the Hotel on July 12th. Volunteers are still needed for the July 4th festivities.
 
PDG John Kramb reminded us that we should give to The Rotary Foundation and Polio Plus, as these are two separate funds. He will personally match any gifts to those funds that exceed $500. 
Also, he is looking to reinvigorate Rotaract at Gettysburg College and is looking for information on what was done in the past with that group.
