Opening of Meeting
The meeting was opened with an invocation led by Fred Salek and then, Vice-President Peter Lagerberg led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-Way Test. 
Bill Braun reported attendance of 17 Rotarians in-person and there were several attending via Zoom. There was one guest, our speaker, Sarah Kipp
50/50 
Ken Farabaugh won $13, but when asked if it was his ticket, or that of his fiancée, Lina, he said it was Lina's.

Happy Bucks
  • Peter Lagerberg was happy about the great Giving Spree by the Adams County Community Foundation last week.
  • Ken Farabaugh gave $3 in celebration of the Giving Spree, which raised over $3 million, and also acknowledged Lina winning the 50/50.
  • Scott Wehler gave a sad buck because Bob Gough was not feeling well.
  • Martin Zimmann was happy to be back at a meeting in person. He said he had not attended one since COVID his in March of 2020.

Announcements
  • Vice President Peter Lagerberg told us that President Larry was in Florida and President-Elect Mike Hanson was attending to his duties in his job at Lake Heritage.
  • David Laughman brought up the Foundation Dinner. It will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021, at The Lodge at Liberty Forge (3804 Lisburn Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055) There will be a Zoom hybrid event, as stated in the email from Melissa Kopp-Smith, dated November 15, 2021.
H.A.B.P.I. (part 2)
 
Sarah Kipp, Vice-President of Healthy Adams Bicycle and Pedestrian Inc. (HAB.PI) showed us a video that featured various people from the organization, and other parts of the community, talking about the mission of HABPI.
Eric Meyer, President of HAPBI, and  Dennis Hickether, Board Member of HAPBI, both talked about the formation and mission of the organization. Former Borough Council Member, Susan Naugle appeared in the video and talked about how the Borough of Gettysburg teamed with HAPBI to create shared bicycle paths in the borough. Lisa Donohoe, from ACCF, Tom Jolin, board member, and Kathy Gaskin, of Healthy Adams County, spoke about the importance of bike riding. Jamie Gaglillardi spoke in English and Spanish about the accomplishments of the organization, and finally, Steve Neibler, retired director of Adams County Office of Aging, gave some statistics about the benefits for older people to keep exercising. 
 
There are some bike riding routes on their website (http://www.habpi.org/) and Sarah says that it will be updated soon. The website also has information about their fundraiser "Ride for Trails".

Ruth's Harvest
